SUBSTITUTE FOR TOMATOES

For some weeks now, the scarcity of  Tomatoes in Nigeria has been on the local and international media.
According to reports, the Federal Gov.on Tues said the pest, Tuta absoluta, popularly known as ‘Tomato Ebola’  has hit 6 states ”

While we wait for the FG and the experts to resolve this issue, there is an alternative.

We can make stew for our rice , yam etc from palm nuts porpularly known as Ofe Akwu or Banga stew.
This palm nuts stew is highly nutritious  and delicious.  All you need to do is get the quantity of palm nuts desired, your desired meat or fish, Saint leaf or nchuanwu , crayfish, maggi, salt etc and you are good to go. Other substitutes are vegetable stew and  curry sauce.
