Having netted 14 goals in 30 Serie A appearances this season, AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has turned the heads of big European clubs and could be subject of a summer move abroad.
The
Rossoneri saw fit to pay the Colombian's €30 million buyout clause to
bring him to the San Siro in July of last year and the former Sevilla
striker has proved to be money well spent as he currently trails only Gonzalo Higuain in the Serie A scoring charts.
British newspaper The Daily Express reports that his performances have not gone unnoticed, with Arsenal
and Bayern Munich now keen on the 29-year-old but could be forced to
pay in the region of €30m once more if they are to secure his services.
Arsene Wenger has been underwhelmed by Olivier Giroud's
contribution to their title push this year, and hope that Bacca will
provide some added firepower to the Gunner's squad, whilst Carlo
Ancelotti has been a long-term admirer of the Colombian, going back to
his days as Real Madrid coach.
Whilst
Bacca's agent has stated that his client holds a strong desire to win
European trophies with Milan, the Rossoneri currently lie sixth in the
Serie A table, with a place in either European competition next season
far from guaranteed.
As such, the Colombian may well jump at the opportunity to play Champions League football and head to the Emirates Stadium or Allianz Arena when the transfer window opens this summer. [yahoo sports]
