An unknown gun man has shot and killed an Imam and his assistant on Saturday afternoon on the street of New York.
The Imam and the assistant are said to have left the mosque on Saturday afternoon after prayers and were on their way home when the gun man ran from behind and shot them on the head killing them instantly.
This heinous crime was committed in broad day light. The police are currently searching for the gun man and also checking the surveillance camera for possible clue or identification.
Meanwhile the Muslim community have gathered at the the mosque demanding for justice on the murder of their cleric and assistant.
