The Federal Government Wednesday
appointed the Vanguard Columnists, Mr. Ishaq Modibo Kawu as the
Director-General Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) among six other
information-related parastatals under the Ministry of Information and Culture.
The Minister of Information and
Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, appointments were announced in Abuja. Mr. Kawu
until his new appointment, was a Thursday columnists in the Vanguard
Newspapers where he wrote on issues of national interest. Others appointed
include:
Mr. Mansur Liman – Director-General, Federal Radio Corporation of
Nigeria (FRCN)

(NTA)
Garba Abari, Director-General, National Orientation Agency (NOA)
Mr.

According to a statement
from the ministry, the new appointees replace the Chief Executives of the

immediate effect. It will recalled that the federal government on 15th

information following the outcry by some members of the ruling All Progressive
Congress (APC), who accused the government of keeping the appointees of its
predecessor.
