Earlier in
his remarks, the chief executive officer of the Bank, Uzoma Dozie, told the
gathering that the reward ceremony was not just to celebrate the lucky customer
but a celebration of the Bank’s leadership role in driving personalized digital
banking, noting that having a million persons change their financial lifestyle
using the Diamond mobile app is a milestone achievement.
“And we
intend to achieve two million mark faster than we did for the one million mark
because Diamond Mobile App is not just convenient way of banking but a secure
one because the complain of fraud on the platform is much more lower than other
channels.” Reiterating Dozie, Rob Giles, Head, Transaction and e-Banking,
explained that the advantage of the Diamond Mobile App over others in the
financial services subsector is hinged on the simplicity and top-level security
that eliminates most of the risks associated with executing financial
transactions.
The lucky
Nnewi indigene who is resident in Warri, Delta State told journalists shortly
after he received the monwy at the Diamond Bank headquarters in Lagos that he
downloaded the app on Valentine’s Day after seeing how easy and simple his
friends did their banking transactions using the app on their mobile phones.
