John Eluu, disclosed to newsmen that the victim was raped by Effiong and
his two friends (now at large) on January 17 at an uncompleted building in the
Ekorinim area of Calabar, the state capital and was arrested by men of the
state police command same day.
The Cross River State Police Command on Thursday, paraded a fake
policeman, Idongesit Effiong, who allegedly raped a 23-year-old woman, Esther
Etete.
Further investigation shows that the
29-year-old suspect has been using this fake police uniform to commit heinous
crimes in the area, the PPRO added, noting that the police are on the search
for the two fleeing suspects.
