A fire episode at the Vice Chancellor's hotel of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in the early hours of Thursday has killed Mallam Abbah Kyari, a former Auditor General of Borno State.
It is reported that Kyari had went with Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba El-Kanemi, who is being introduced as the Chancellor of the college.
A source in the emir's escort said that the fire occurrence began at around 2 am from one of the rooms in the cabin.
The fire began at around 2am and there were hysterical endeavors to put off the fire, but shockingly, the harm has been done as the previous Auditor General supported wounds that in the end took his life," the source said.
It was assembled that the remaining parts of the late Kyari has been come back to Maiduguri, the Borno capital, for interment this evening. [R.I.P]
