Amaechina Madueke, husband of the
immediate past minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke has been
reportedly arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to Sahara Reporters, Mr.
Madueke was arrested Wednesday morning by the operatives of the anti-graft
commission in Abuja for allegedly laundering more than $600,000 via his
personal accounts.
The report quoted a source as saying
that, “Mr. Madueke was arrested this morning in Abuja and released on
administrative bail.”
The agency also confiscated Mr. Madueke’s passport and
placed him under caution.
