DELEGATES CONFIRM THAT THEY WERE HIRED TO VOTE - ONDO APC PRIMARIES


Aftermath of the Ondo APC governorship primary election, some persons have been confessing that they were hired to vote for one of the aspirants in the election.

Two of such supposedly fake delegates who spoke to newsmen in Akure disclosed that they were approached by some supporters of the aspirant with 10,000 naira and given the identification tags and instructed to vote for Rotimi Akeredolu.

Meanwhile, a staunch member of APC in Ondo State, Chief Timehin Adelegbe refuted the allegation of the fake delegates

He insisted that there was no way a non-delegate could vote in the primary election as ‎no one whose name was not on the delegate list voted.
In a related development, one of aspirants in the primary election, Jamiu Ekungba also expressed satisfaction on the result of the election.

The Owo-born politician told newsmen in Akure that the election was free and fair, expressing delight that his town’s man, Rotimi Akeredolu emerged as the party’s candidate.
Ekungba, who is a member of the APC Board of Trustees, however denied the news that emerged from an online media the he stormed out of the venue of the election calling Ondo people bastards and betrayers because the delegates collected money from him and did not vote for him.
